NewJeans will drop a remixed album titled “NJWMX” on Tuesday, the girl group’s agency ADOR said Friday.
“NJWMX,” which stands for “NewJeans Winter Mix,” will be NewJeans’s first remixed album. It will also be the group’s first album released after its second EP “Get Up” back in July.
“NJWMX” will feature a total of 12 tracks, which includes remixed versions of “OMG” and “Ditto” (2022) from the group’s first single “OMG,” followed by four remixed songs from the group’s debut album “New Jeans” (2022): “Hype Boy,” “Attention,” “Hurt” and “Cookie.”
“OMG” has been remixed with hip-hop, while the remixed version of “Hype Boy” features 90s R&B tunes, according to ADOR.
There also will be six instrumental versions of each remixed track included in the album.
“[NJWMX] is an album filled with NewJeans’s desire to spend its time together with Bunnies in the winter; we hope the album becomes a special gift to Bunnies,” ADOR said.
Bunnies is NewJeans’s fandom name.
NewJeans recently won six awards at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards held Thursday in Manila, Philippines, becoming the first group to win six awards at the awards in one year. The group took home the Singer of the Year, Song of the Year, Hot Trend award, Asia Celebrity, Best Choice and Fabulous.
