NewJeans is set to perform on U.S. television network ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024," a first for a K-pop girl group, its agency ADOR said.
NewJeans will be one of the performers on the five-hour show that airs on New Year's Eve. It is set to perform "Super Shy" and "ETA." The group's performance will be filmed in Korea and aired live in the United States.
The five-hour-long show takes place on Dec. 31 and continues into the next day, with events including performances by top artists of the year and the New Year's countdown at Times Square in New York.
Artists such as U.S. rapper Post Malone and Puerto Rican singer Ivy Queen will also perform on the same day as NewJeans.
The show will be aired on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. on ABC channel, Eastern Standard Time.
The annual show is one of the most viewed New Year's TV programs in the United States, according to the agency. NewJeans will be the fifth K-pop artist to perform on the show, following Psy, BTS, J-Hope and Tomorrow X Together.
NewJeans debuted in July 2022 under agency ADOR, a music label under HYBE, and has been one of the biggest names in K-pop ever since its debut. It's known for its hit songs, including "Attention" (2022), "Hype Boy" (2022) and "Ditto."
The group won top honors at the MAMA Awards and the Melon Music Awards this year. The group has been nominated for Digital Song of the Year with "Ditto" at the 38th Golden Disc Awards.
