Samsung Electro-Mechanics wins 15-year slot in DJSI World Index

South Korea’s Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World Index for the fifteenth time on Tuesday.

Since its first inclusion in 2009, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has maintained its position on the DJSI World Index for fifteen consecutive years—an unparalleled achievement among South Korean companies. The index assesses over 2,500 global corporations annually based on market capitalization, considering not only their business performance but also a comprehensive evaluation of its environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG).

The company received commendable scores for its comprehensive efforts in corporate-wide energy conservation initiatives and the implementation of high-efficiency facilities. Samsung Electro-Mechanics President Jang Deok-hyun reiterated the company’s commitment, saying, “As a leading tech company in the ESG domain, we are dedicated to realizing a sustainable future by putting our best efforts across all aspects of ESG.”
