The KT Wiz have re-signed pitcher Wes Benjamin on a one-year deal worth up to $1.4 million.
Benjamin, 30, will return to the Wiz for a third season after making his KBO debut in 2022.
The left-hander has a career 3.23 ERA with 20 wins and 10 losses over 46 games in the KBO and was among the 23 pitchers nominated this year for a Golden Glove.
In 2023, which the Wiz ended as Korean Series runners-up, Benjamin recorded a 3.54 ERA with 15 wins and 6 losses, appearing in 29 games, up from 17 in 2022.
The Wiz signed Benjamin, who came to Korea off a career in the Minor leagues, in the middle of the 2022 season after the team released foreign pitcher Will Cuevas due to an elbow injury.
KBO teams are allowed to sign up to three foreign players per year. The Wiz earlier signed Mel Rojas Jr., who heads back to the KBO after stints in Japan and South America, and Cuevas for a sixth year.
