SK telecom unveils updated PC messaging service

SK telecom Co. announced the official launch of Chat Plus for PC on Tuesday, which will enable seamless message services via both smartphones and computers.

Chat Plus is a message service offered by Samsung Electronics Co. in collaboration with the country’s top three mobile carriers, including SK telecom. The service boasts various features, including sharing files as large as 300 megabytes, group chats, seven types of emojis, and read receipts on the messaging app.

Chat Plus for PC, jointly developed by Samsung Electronics and SK telecom, allows computer users to access the same service available on the mobile version via a desktop.

SK telecom’s users can use the PC version with a QR verification code if they use Galaxy devices with One UI 6 or later.

The PC version has been available on Apple Inc.’s Mac OS since its official launch.
