SK C&C showcases Korean industrial efforts for carbon neutrality at COP28

South Korea’s SK C&C announced on Tuesday that it gave a presentation on its endeavors towards carbon neutrality during the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference took place from November 30, 2023, to December 12 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

COP is an annual gathering to deliberate on climate change responses that play a part in countries determining their climate change strategies and levels of action.

The 2023edition, or COP 28, featured a ‘Korea Pavilion,’ that highlighted the country’s industrial strides toward carbon neutrality and shared practical examples of carbon reduction efforts. SK C&C’s presentation took place at the Korea Pavilion’s conference room.

SK C&C is a digital IT service partner offering a highly credible net-zero platform in the domestic voluntary carbon reduction market. The company’s presentation at COP28 centered on voluntary carbon reduction efforts within the domestic industrial landscape and highlighted digital net-zero technologies.

SK C&C conducted two sessions on December 6 and 8, shedding light on the status of the domestic voluntary carbon reduction market. The company also introduced its digital net-zero platform developed to address carbon reduction concerns, including ‘Centero,’ a voluntary carbon reduction certification and trading platform.

The company reported keen interest from global companies, institutions, and voluntary carbon reduction credit developers during the event, receiving many inquiries for Centero membership and cooperation, validating the potential for its global market expansion.
