General strike in Lebanon in solidarity with the Palestinian people

Palestinian activists and grassroots organizations have called for a global strike on 11 December to demand an immediate ceasefire amid the ongoing Israeli-Hamas conflict in Gaza. The call for the strike has been given by the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces, a coalition of major Palestinian factions, to Palestinians across the West Bank and supporters across the world to participate in a strike that would include ?all aspects of public life? in a show of solidarity amid relentless Israeli attacks. Israeli forces resumed military strikes on Gaza after a week-long truce expired on 01 December. More than 18,000 Palestinians and at least 1,200 Israelis have been killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), since Hamas militants launched an attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip on 07 October, and the Israeli operations in Gaza and the West Bank which followed it.
