Boy band TAN’s song “Walking on the Moon” will be blasted off into space, its agency Think Entertainment said Friday.

“Walking on the Moon,” released in July 2022, will be sent into space on Dec. 24 via memorial space flight enterprise Celestis and its deep-space time capsule.

TAN's song will be the first K-pop artists’ music to be sent into the cosmos, its agency said in a press release.

The song will be sent along with the DNA, cremated remains and data of over 200 individuals, including Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, according to the report.

“We welcome the music of TAN aboard our ‘Cosmic Archive,'” Charles Chafer, Co-Founder and CEO of Celestis, said to Forbes. “'Walking on the Moon' is an important contribution to the cosmic time capsule.”

“We cannot express enough how much of an honor it is to be a part of such a significant mission,” Changsun, the leader of the group told Forbes.

“After forming through the unique boy-band competition show Extreme Debut: Wild Idol that tested not only contestants’ musical skill level and star potential but also their physical stamina, TAN has stood out from the competitive K-pop space with a mission to connect with fans from all corners of the globe as well as unique opportunities like this deep-space voyage,” Jeff Benjamin, a senior contributor for Forbes, said about the band.

TAN is a seven-member boy band that debuted on March 10, 2022. TAN consists of members Changsun, Jooan, Lee Jae-jun, Seo Sung-hyuk, Hyunyeop, Taehoon and Jiseong. The band's name is an acronym for "To All Nations."
