Afghan school children study in the open air amid lack of school buildings

In a remote area of Arghandab district in Zabul province, a primary school, known as Number 10, is functioning under challenging conditions. Students study under the open sky, facing extreme weather conditions such as heat, dust, cold, and rain. The lack of proper infrastructure hinders the learning of seven classes of both girls and boys. The Department of Education of Zabul province reports that out of 169 schools, 44 lack proper buildings, forcing students to study in tents and open air. EPA/STRINGER
