Pakistan facing acute gas shortage in Peshawar

Pakistan has been facing an acute gas shortage for a long time which becomes worse when temperatures drop during the peak winter season. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by approximately four Pakistani Rupees (PKR) - about 0.014 US dollar/0.013 Euro) per kilogram for the month of December 2023 - and issued a notification in this regard. As per the OGRA notification, LPG will be available at PKR 255 per kg (0.90 US dollar/ 0.83 Euro) instead of PKR 251 per kg, domestic cylinder will be available at PKR 3,007 (10.57 US dollar/9.80 Euro) instead of PKR 2962, commercial cylinder will be available at PKR 11,571 (40.68 US dollar/27.72 Euro) instead of PKR 11,397.
