Kim Gunn, right, South Korea's special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs and Hiroyuki Namazu, head of the Japanese foreign ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, shake hands in their meeting in Seoul on Tuesday to discuss the North's recent military provocations. The two nuclear envoys condemned the North's recent launch of its spy satellite into space. They stressed that a series of sanctions on the North announced by the governments of South Korea, the United States, Japan and Australia show the international resolve to ensure there are consequences the North must face with its continued military provocations.
