SK C&C to provide blockchain-based security token service for Hana Securities

SK C&C Co. will establish a securities token system for Hana Securities Co. with the ChainZ Security Token service, the South Korean company said Tuesday.

ChainZ operates as a service platform, allowing the seamless creation, issuance, and trading of tokenized assets on the Ethereum network through simple application program interface (API) calls.

SK C&C highlighted that it only takes a few clicks to generate all token-related services through this platform.

Leveraging the ChainZ platform, SK C&C will support functions such as token subscription, allocation for issuing companies within Hana Securities’ securities token system, and distributed ledger services.

Moreover, the platform will facilitate services tailored for investors, including order reception, token buying and selling, and monitoring market conditions related to securities tokens. The system will include market surveillance capabilities to ensure the smooth issuance and circulation of securities tokens while monitoring market dynamics.

In June, Hana Financial Group took a significant step in expanding the securities token ecosystem by participating in the Next Finance Initiative (NFI), a securities token consortium.

Hana Securities is gearing up to undertake a comprehensive service project encompassing the issuance, circulation, procurement, and infrastructure development for securities tokens.
