Foodinko CEO Ju Pil Kim
The chief executive of Foodinko Co. Ltd., a Seoul-based restaurant mapping app provider, expressed his desire to expand business in 2024 during an interview with the Maeil Business Newspaper.

“The app services gain high trust and loyalty from customers as its content is not sponsored at all,” Foodinko CEO Ju Pil Kim said. “We also aim to try our hand in intellectual property.”

After starting as a Facebook page for Facebook marketing in 2016, the platform grew to become a restaurant recommendation app with more than 470,000 Instagram followers and 220,000 app subscribers.

The platform offers review ratings and recommendations users post on social media while providing the restaurant location on the app’s map feature.

Foodinko is a subsidiary of CNP Company, a franchise of food and beverage business.

“We have plans to collaborate with Japanese logistic firms to produce food and merchandise. Our initial venture involves the creation of a meal kit in partnership with the Foodinko-certified restaurant ‘Matjange Tteokbokki’ slated for release early next month,” Kim said.
