JYP Entertainment’s new girl group VCHA will drop another pre-debut single “Ready for the World” on Dec. 1, its agency said Wednesday.
VCHA is the result of a joint project between JYP Entertainment and U.S. music giant Republic Records, consisting of the six finalists of “A2K,” or America2Korea, a girl group audition program run by the two agencies from July to September.
“Ready for the World” was the theme song for the audition program A2K and its full version had not yet been revealed.
It was created by Park Jin-young, a singer and producer at JYP Entertainment. The song has an energetic up-tempo synth-pop vibe.
This is the second pre-debut single to come from VCHA following its first pre-debut single “SeVit” with lead track “Y. O. Universe” which released on Sept. 22.
The group's official debut date has not yet been decided.
The group consists of Lexi, Camila, Savanna, Kendall, KG and Kaylee, who are all from the United States. The name VCHA is derived from a Korean word that translates to “shine a light,” and was created by Park himself.
