Rescue operation efforts continue for 40 trapped workers in Indian tunnel

Deepak Patil, head of the rescue operation indicated that equipment for a possible option 3 is already enroute as rescue workers already drilled up to 24 metres through the rubble but need to drill up to 60 metres to insert 800 mm and 900 mm diameter pipes till an escape passage is created said National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
