aespa's latest EP "Drama" sold over one million copies, becoming the girl group's third album in a row to sell over a million copies.
"Drama," aespa's fourth EP released on Nov. 10, sold 1.13 million copies during the week after its release, according to music sales tracker Hanteo Chart.
The feat follows its previous releases with its second EP "Girls" selling over a million copies and its third EP "My World" selling over two million copies.
"Drama" also topped the Chinese music streaming platform QQ Music's digital album sales chart and was certified double platinum, which is given to albums that reach 2 million yuan ($27.6 million) in sales.
Along with the new music, aespa is also introducing experimental events for fans to experience.
The group recently premiered a virtual reality (VR) concert, dubbed "Lynk-pop: The 1st VR concert aespa," on Oct. 25 at Megabox Coex theaters in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, and it will run until Tuesday.
Following the VR concert, the group launched a metaverse community on Naver's metaverse platform Zepeto, named "aespa World," in collaboration with music technology company Verses, on Friday.
