Shinsegae Group kicks off shopping festival

South Korean retail conglomerate Shinsegae Group kicked off its shopping festival, 2023 SSG Day, on Monday, offering discounts on a variety of items and services.

The annual event, which began in 2019, is joined by Shinsegae Department Store and Emart, as well as food and beverage affiliates like Starbucks Korea.

Starbucks announced a special promotion from November 13 to 16 where visitors can buy a Tall-sized Americano for only 3,000 won ($2.3) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Customers can purchase up to four drinks per receipt, and they have the flexibility to choose from Blonde, Decaf, and 1/2 Decaf without any additional charges.

The offer is available exclusively for in-store purchases made directly with Starbucks partners.

Additionally, those ordering with personal reusable cups can enjoy a 400-won discount or opt for eco-point benefits.

As a special collaboration for SSG Day, Starbucks is releasing the Black Over My Bag, produced in partnership with street fashion brand Undermycar. This limited edition item can be purchased from Nov. 13 through SSG.com and the Starbucks app.

Shinsegae Department Store also prepared various events and benefits for SSG Day.

The Shinsegae Department Store app will feature a lucky draw event, returning 10~50 percent of the purchase amount as reward points, which can be used as cash for future purchases at Shinsegae Department Store.

Shinsegae Duty Free is also joining the event by offering diverse discounts during the SSG Day period.

The duty-free brand is providing up to 80 percent off on products from over 70 brands, including Estée Lauder, Tom Ford, and Givenchy.

Josun Hotels & Resorts is offering a total of 124 discounted products for SSG Day, including rooms and its own-branded kimchi.
