SOOJIN, (G)I-DLE's Former Member Makes Her Solo Debut After Allegations Of School Violence

(MHNSPORTS Heewon Kim reporter) Singer SOOJIN, a former member of the group (G)I-DLE, will make her solo debut, leaving behind allegations of school violence.

SOOJIN will release her first solo EP 'AGASSY' (Lady) at 6 p.m. on the 8th. 'AGASSY' (Lady) is an album that contains a variety of images that best reveal the artist 'SOOJIN' and includes a total of six songs, including the title song 'AGASSY,' '개화 (開花) (Flowering),' 'Sunflower,' 'TyTy,' 'SUNSET' and 'bloodredroses'.

The title song, 'AGASSY,' is a perfect combination of strange melodies that seem to cross the past and present of oriental sound instruments, sensuous and poetic lyrics, and SOOJIN's outstanding performance skills.

SOOJIN, who was previously a member of (G)IDLE, was embroiled in suspicions of school violence through an online community in 2021. She later denied the allegations and sued the person who made the accusation, but in March of that year she suspended her activities and in August and left the group. In particular, in March of the following year, her accuser, the one who exposed her, received a decision not to be forwarded (no charges were filed), and the agency subsequently terminated the exclusive contract with SOOJIN.

Soon after, SOOJIN explained that there was no assault or extortion of money, but the suspicions that she committed school violence have not yet been completely resolved. But as SOOJIN finds her new agency and makes her solo debut, she begins to take on the challenge head on.
