LG CNS enters digital transformation partnership with NYC, AMCHAM

LG CNS Co., a digital transformation company under South Korea’s LG Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the City of New York and the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) on the application of new digital transformation technologies, the company said on Friday.

Under the MoU, LG CNS, New York City, and AMCHAM Korea will collaborate on the application of emerging digital transformation technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital twin, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain in New York City.

The signing ceremony was attended by New York City Mayor Eric Adams, LG CNS Chief Executive Officer Hyun Shin-gyoon, and AMCHAM Chairman James Kim.

The three parties also plan to offer internship programs for college students and support minority- and women-led businesses in the city.

LG CNS anticipates that the latest partnership will create opportunities for them to expand business in North America, particularly in the areas of smart cities, e-government, and cloud services.

LG CNS is also exploring the establishment of a branch in New York for enhanced collaboration.
