LG Innotek Co., an information technology component unit of South Korea’s LG Group, will open a training center to enhance the capabilities of its partner companies in November, the company said on Thursday.

LG Innotek will operate the training center as part of the National Human Resources Development Consortium’s High-Tech Industry Joint Training Center project, which is being promoted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

31 of LG Innotek’s partner companies will participate this year to receive specialized training related to production technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems and robots.

The company plans to expand the program next year to cover areas such as quality and cyber security, with the goal of supporting a total of 150 partner companies by 2027.

The company is also holding the “2023 Shared Growth Academy” for some 500 partner company executives and employees which runs for two days until Friday.

LG Innotek has held the annual Shared Growth Academy since 2012 as a platform to strengthen communication with its partner companies, and this year’s event took place online to accommodate more partner companies.

“The growth of our partner companies is directly linked to LG Innotek’s growth. We will continue to provide various support to help them become our partners in creating differentiated customer value,” LG Innotek chief executive officer and president Jeong Cheol-dong said.
