Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in expecting first child in February

Actor and singer Lee Seung-gi and actor Lee Da-in are expecting their first child, seven months after getting married in April.

Actor and singer Lee Seung-gi and actor Lee Da-in are expecting their first child, seven months after getting married in April.

The baby is expected to be born in February, according to Lee Da-in’s agency 9Ato Entertainment.

“Lee Da-in is putting her health and well-being as her No. 1 priority, preparing to welcome the newborn in February,” the agency said in a press release.

Lee Seung-gi is taking a "cautious" stance but is also welcoming the baby with a grateful heart, his agency said.

Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in tied the knot on April 7 at Grand InterContinental Hotel Seoul Parnas in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, two years after confirming their relationship in May 2021.

Lee Da-in debuted in 2014 starring in tvN drama “20 Years Old” (2014). She is well-known to be a part of an actor family, her mother being actor Kyun Mi-ri and her sister Lee Lee Yu-bi. She is currently starring in MBC’s TV series “My Dearest.”

Lee Seung-gi first started his career as a singer in 2004 with his debut song “Because You're My Woman” (2004). He released hit songs, including “Delete” (2004) and “Will You Marry Me” (2009). He also made his name known as an actor from a supporting role in KBS drama “Famous Chil Princesses” (2006). He starred in TV series such as SBS’ drama “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho” (2010) and “Vagabond” (2019).

He was embroiled in a legal battle with his former agency Hook Entertainment last year. He sued the executives of the agency including CEO Kwon Jin-young for not properly compensating him, which the agency admitted. He immediately terminated his exclusive contract with the agency after it admitted its payment failure on Dec. 1. After the legal turmoil, he self-established an agency named Human Made.

He is currently hosting the third season of JTBC’s music audition “Sing Again.”
