7-Eleven Korea introduced 36 popular snacks and drinks from overseas 7-Eleven stores through direct sourcing, including those from the United States, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan, aimed at bolstering its position in the competitive market.

Among the curated selection, Japanese offerings dominate with 23 products, while Taiwan and Thailand contribute four each, the U.S. provides three, and Vietnam offers two. Highlighted among the selection are Vietnam's traditional Vifon Chicken Flavor Instant Rice Noodles, Thailand's Okusno shrimp chin snack, Taiwan's beef bowl noodle Imperial Big Meal, and popular Japanese treats including Langue de Chat white chocolate cookies and the alcoholic beverage Strong Zero Lemon.

“As a global brand, we have the ability to quickly gather insights into product consumption trends from different countries and excel at sourcing popular items from overseas more effortlessly than most,” a 7-Eleven official said. “The initiative is expected to solidify our unique product merchandising system, distinct from other brands, and boost sales for franchisees and enhance the brand value overall.”

To celebrate the event, 7-Eleven Korea is launching the '2023 Global 7-Eleven Food Festa' throughout November, offering a 10 percent discount on all global 7-Eleven products when using Kakao Pay for payments.

With its roots tracing back to Dallas, Texas in 1927, 7-Eleven currently operates in 20 countries, where it manages over 85,000 stores.
