Bang Ye-dam, a former member of boy band Treasure, will drop his first EP on Nov. 23, his agency GF Entertainment said Monday.
Bang will release one track from his new EP on Nov. 10, ahead of the album release. The number of tracks in the EP has yet to be revealed, and more details will be disclosed in the coming days, his agency told the Korea JoongAng Daily.
The EP will be Bang’s first release as a solo artist, after leaving Treasure in November 2022.
“I’m not used to the phrase ‘solo artist Bang Ye-dam,’ and I do feel a lot of pressure that now I have to fill the stage alone," Bang said in a press release. "On the other hand, I’m excited to be able to show my own performance, which has also made me feel more responsible."
Bang first appeared on the second season of the SBS audition show “K-pop Star” (2013) and finished as runner-up. He signed with YG Entertainment after the show and debuted as a member of boy band Treasure on Aug. 7, 2020, with the band's first song, “Boy.”
He released his first solo track "Wayo" in June 2020, before officially debuting as a member of Treasure.
Bang signed an exclusive contract with his current agency on Aug. 24, after leaving the band and YG Entertainment last year.
