STAYC will drop its third Japanese single “LIT” on Dec. 6.
“’LIT’ is STAYC’s Japanese original lead track, expressing the message of ‘enjoy the ‘LIT’ life, in your way,’” the girl group’s agency High Up Entertainment said in a news release on Monday.
The single will also include a Japanese version of “Bubble,” the lead track from STAYC’s most recent Korean EP, “Teenfresh,” which dropped in August.
Teaser images released last Friday for the upcoming single showed the six members of the group in a more monotone and calm fashion, different from the colorful and upbeat styles that STAYC pursued with its latest Korean comeback.
Fan meet and greet events will also be held in Japan to celebrate the release of the single, according to the agency.
STAYC debuted in Japan with its first single “Poppy” on Nov. 23, 2022, two years after the group made its debut in Korea. The girl group dropped its second Japanese single “Teddy Bear” on April 4, which included the Japanese version of “Teddy Bear” and “Stereotype.”
STAYC is currently on its first world tour “Teenfresh.” Following the two-day performance at the Olympic Hall in southern Seoul’s Songpa District on Sept. 23 and 24, the girl group performed in New York, Chicago, San Antonio, Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles so far and will pick up the tour in January, performing in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
