With actor Lee Sun-kyun (48) and singer G-Dragon (35, Kwon Ji-yong) under arrest for suspicion of drug use, the police have also arrested a doctor who supplied them with the drugs. Police are considering banning Lee and Kwon from leaving the country.

On October 26, the metropolitan investigation unit of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it booked A, a Seoul-based doctor, on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act. This brings the total number of suspects being investigated by the police for drug-related crimes to ten. The police have filed charges against five suspects: Lee; Kwon; B (29), a manager of a “room salon” in Gangnam, Seoul; a female employee who worked with B at the room salon; and a doctor. They are also investigating but have yet to file charges against the other five, including a third-generation chaebol, an aspiring singer, and a TV personality-turned-songwriter.

In September, the police followed a tip that drugs were being used in a so-called “1% membership room salon,” in Gangnam, Seoul. In the process, they discovered that A provided the drugs. They reportedly found additional drug users and drug suppliers in the process of questioning B, who was arrested for charges connected to marijuana and psychotropic drugs, and another employee on October 21.

B is also charged with blackmailing Lee and extorting 350 million won from the actor. The police believe Lee and Kwon used the drugs in separate locations. They will soon summon them and conduct reagent tests.
