Le Sserafim's Kim Chae-won returns to group activities after flu recovery

Kim Chae-won of girl group Le Sserafim will return to group activities on Nov. 1 after taking time off to recover from flu symptoms, her agency Source Music said Thursday.

"Medical specialists have told us that she can participate in the group's schedule starting next week," the agency said in a post on the fan community platform Weverse. "She will come back on Nov. 1."

Earlier this month, on Oct. 16, Source Music announced that the Le Sserafim member will be taking time off due to severe symptoms from influenza A.

Kim Chae-won had caught influenza A along with members Huh Yun-jin and Kazuha, which led to the girl group canceling two concerts set to take place on Oct. 7 and 8 in Bangkok.

Le Sserafim will drop its first English digital single, "Perfect Night," on Friday. The girl group worked with Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch 2 team to produce the music video, the Overwatch franchise's first musical artist collaboration for in-game content.
