Apple Inc. has created a buzz with its surprise online event set to take place on October 30, as the world’s largest tech company prepares for the grand reveal. Market expectations are high that the event will showcase the new Mac series equipped with cutting-edge semiconductors.

Apple sent out invitations to the media and public through its website on Tuesday, local time, announcing a special event to be held online at 5 pm on October 30.

Bloomberg speculates that the event, named Scary Fast, is likely to focus on unveiling Apple’s personal computers, the Mac series. The event may introduce the 24-inch iMac and the 13-inch MacBook Pro, both powered by the new M3 chip. The current iMac available for sale is equipped with Apple’s in-house developed M1 chip, which has remained unchanged for over two years since its release in April 2021.

The choice of the name Scary Fast for the event appears to be linked to the fact that the day following the event is Halloween in the United States.

Apple had previously showcased its mixed-reality headset Vision Pro at this year’s WWDC developer conference in June. In September, the company introduced the new iPhone 15. Due to the prior product launches, there was a speculation that there would be no further product announcements this year.

In the second quarter of this year, Apple’s total revenue reached $81.8 billion, but the Mac series’ revenue was $6.8 billion, falling short of 10 percent.
