Former PM Imran Khan and FM Qureshi indicted in Cypher case

Imran was ousted through a vote of no-confidence in April 2022 and was later sentenced to three years in prison in the Toshakhana case. His sentence was suspended, but he was arrested in the cypher case and has remained in jail on judicial remand. PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who was the foreign minister in Imran's government, is also implicated in the case.
