Riize will drop a new single "Talk Saxy" on Friday, the boy band's agency SM Entertainment said Monday.
"Talk Saxy" will be Riize's third single release, following its prologue single "Memories" which dropped Aug. 21 and "Get A Guitar," which was released on Sept. 4 as the boy band's "official debut" single.
"'Talk Saxy' is a dance tune that features addictive saxophone riff that kicks in from the intro followed by strong 808 drum sounds," SM Entertainment said in a press release Monday, adding that the song will talk about the "interest [one can have] against a stranger."
Riize, consisting of Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee and Anton, is SM Entertainment's newest boy band. Two of its members, Shotaro and Sungchan, debuted in 2020 as members of boy band NCT.
The name "Riize" is a combination of the words "rise" and "realize," with the message of "making something come true" and hoping it becomes a team "that grows together and fulfills its dreams," the agency said.
"Get A Guitar" sold more than a million copies in the first week of its release, making it the second-most-sold album by a rookie band on its debut album on the first week of its release.
