CJ Logistics unveils advanced logistics technologies at global workshop

CJ Logistics Corp. organized a global workshop to share its growth strategies using advanced technologies, the company said on Friday.

This year’s conference was conducted via video call, with participants including logistics technology experts from the Seoul headquarters and its four global subsidiaries: CJ Logistics America, CJ Darcl Logistics Ltd., CJ Century Logistics Holdings Berhad, and CJ Gemadept Logistics.

During the workshop, the subsidiaries shared their experiences of using new technologies in logistics operations and shared insights on system innovation aimed at enhancing competitiveness. The U.S. subsidiary shared information about the introduction of unmanned forklifts to address high labor costs, while the Vietnamese subsidiary presented a case of efficiency improvement through the introduction of semi-automated equipment.

“Since the maturity of the logistics industry varies by country, we shared the status of technology adoption tailored to each market. We will disseminate the headquarters’ advanced systems and technology to more global locations to accelerate digital transformation,” according to Kim Kyung-hoon, head of the company’s Technology, Engineering, System & Solution (TES) Logistics Technology Research Institute.
