Allegheny Jail-Autism Death

This 2010 photo provided by the family shows Anthony Talotta posing for a portrait. Talotta's family was working with attorneys to get the 57-year-old autistic man out of the Allegheny County Jail, where he had been taken on September 10, 2022 after a physical altercation with a staff member at the group home where he lived. But 11 days after he arrived at the jail, Talotta died from what his family says was a treatable and preventable infection from a wound he had received during the altercation at the group home.
