Boy band Stray Kids topped the Oricon Monthly Album chart for September with its first Japanese EP, “Social Path / Super Bowl (Japanese Ver.),” JYP Entertainment said Friday.
The EP was previously No. 1 on the Oricon Daily and Weekly Album charts.
The band also earned a million certification for this year’s Japan Gold Disc Award, which the Recording Industry Association of Japan hosts. This certification is given to albums that have shipped more than one million copies.
Stray Kids is currently touring four cities in Japan, under the “Stray Kids 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023.” Tickets for all eight concerts have sold out. The band has already performed in Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka and is set to perform in Tokyo and Seoul later this month.
Stray Kids will drop a new EP, “樂-STAR” (also stylized as 'Rock-Star'), on Nov. 10.
