Mayor of New York arrives in Quito and meets with the Ecuadorian Foreign Minister

The mayor of New York, Democrat Eric Adams, stated this 06 October in Quito that the irregular migration crisis is a global threat that must be faced internationally jointly as was done with the covid-19 pandemic. Ecuador is the second stop on his tour of Latin America, which also includes Mexico, Colombia and Panama. The New York mayor explained that he is taking this tour to understand the reality of the countries of origin of the migration that arrives in his city, to learn about the actions that their governments are taking to prevent risky migration and to combat the misinformation from organized crime groups that exploit migrants who arrive irregularly to the United States.
