Cho Hae-keun named as new president of Korea Post

The Ministry of Science and ICT tapped Cho Hae-keun, formerly a civil servant specializing in drawing legislation for the People Power Party, as the new president of Korea Post, a state-run postal service provider.
Cho graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public administration at Sungkyunkwan University and obtained a master’s degree in public affairs at Syracuse University.
Cho was formerly in charge of managing financial products at Korea Post.
Cho emphasized on digitalization of postal services and financial sectors as well as management restructuring during his acceptance speech.
“I plan to conduct fair evaluation process so that the employees’ performances are reflected in their wages and personnel appointments,” Cho said.
