Five bodies believed to be a family were discovered in a home in Yeongam, South Jeolla, police said Friday.
Yeongam Police Precinct said it discovered the bodies at a house in a local village at 3:54 p.m. after receiving a report from neighbors.
Bloodstains were found all over the house.
Police believe the dead to be the parents, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s, and their three children in their 20s.
The door was locked when the police arrived at the home.
Yonhap reported that the man believed to be the father had been booked by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a nearby village.
He reportedly refused a summons from police two days ago.
The police are investigating to determine the identity of the victims and the cause of their deaths.
