Subway line No. 4 is operating several minutes behind schedule after a maintenance train derailed at around 3:50 a.m. Friday.
Early morning subway trains heading southward to Geumjeong Station from Beomgye Station were put on halt because of the incident.
Trains heading northward were delayed as well.
No injuries and facility damages were reported, but putting the train back on track and follow-up safety checks pushed line No. 4 subways to run behind regular schedule.
All maintenance work was completed as of 8:30 a.m.
“Some delays are expected since the Beomgye-Geumjeong section is being passed at a slow speed for safety,” Korea Railroad Corporation said in a statement.
