The Town Bulls returned in a rustic arena in the Andean city of Sangolqui, neighboring Quito, the capital of Ecuador, which celebrates its festivals with this dangerous tradition that seduces the most daring. The arena, installed in the city square and made of boards and sticks, brings together a crowd that challenges the bravery of the bulls with courage and, sometimes, drink. The enthusiasts often fail to evade the attacks, although they are supported by neighbors who fill the arena to the brim. The Corn and Tourism Festivals of Sangolqui, the head of the canton (municipality) of Ruminahui, start with the town bulls that symbolize the Hispanic heritage settled in the Andean mountains, where the horned bull is raised by force of wind and moorland.
