82Major, Great M Entertainment’s first boy band, will debut on Oct. 11, the agency said Tuesday.
The band’s name, 82Major, is a combination of 82, Korea’s calling code and the word major, referring to the desire of the 82Major to become a boy band that represents Korea, Great M Entertainment explained in a press release.
A teaser video released on the boy band’s Instagram account showed a truck with a large-sized vinyl stopping near an LED display near Hongdae Station, western Seoul, prompting to play 82Major’s yet-to-be-revealed teaser video.
Five trainees were revealed through Great M Entertainment’s trainee project Rarehouse Project, but the final members debuting have not been officially announced.
Great M Entertainment is a newborn agency founded by Kim Young-sun, co-founder and former executive at FNC Entertainment. Former AOA member Choa signed an exclusive contract with the agency in 2020. To find out more about K-pop, visit Celeb Confirmed!
