French solidarity organization Restos du Coeur calls for help

The Restos du Coeur is a foundation created in 1985 by the French humorist Coluche to help the underprivileged. With the growth of inflation, the foundation has seen its food distribution activities endangered, as prices have risen by 13.4 percent in the last year and more and more people are in need of help and food is becoming scarce. The center in Grigny, the poorest town in France, provides assistance to more than 4,000 people, including 700 families with little children. Faced with economic difficulties, the Restos du Coeur are calling for a campaign of help to ensure their future. EPA/TERESA SUAREZ
