CJ Foodville, which operates South Korean bakery brand Tous Les Jours, is accelerating its business expansion in the United States. On Tuesday, the company announced its plans to invest over 50 billion won ($37.8 million) in building a 90,000 square meter production facility in Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia.

The investment reflects CJ Foodville’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the U.S. market. The company recently confirmed its decision to build the facility and has already selected a site. Upon completion, it will be CJ Foodville’s first U.S. production plant.

The facility will have the capacity to produce over 100 million items annually, including Tous Les Jours’ signature frozen pastries and cakes.

CJ Foodville plans to begin construction later this year, with the aim of completing the facility by 2025.

The company first ventured into the U.S. market in 2004, when it introduced the Tous Les Jours brand and has actively franchised its bakery business in the United States since 2009

It currently operates 100 Tous Les Jours stores across 26 states.
