Financial Services Commission pledges to help fintechs go global

The Korean government plans to help local fintech firms expand business globally and collaborate with traditional financial firms through measures such as providing them with information on overseas markets and introducing them to potential investors.

Kim So-young, vice chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), announced the policy direction in an opening speech at Korea Fintech Week 2023, which kicked off at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on Wednesday, saying it is important to build a system to support the fintech industry to ensure their rebound.
