Raisins production in Afghanistan

According to Maulvi Shamsur Rahman Musa, the province's Minister of Agricultural Affairs, around 36,000 tonnes of raisins will be acquired this year, representing a 10% increase over previous year at the same time. According to Abdul Baqi Bina, Kandahar's deputy commerce director, last year raisins worth 35 million dollars were shipped from Kandahar to other nations. Kandahar has 20,000 hectares of land, which will generate 270,000 tonnes of grapes. Grape farmers feel that exporting grapes to other nations would be more profitable.
