Hyundai Mobis to woo European automakers at IAA Mobility 2023

Hyundai Mobis will display over 20 of the newest technologies in electrification and automotive components at the upcoming IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, to lure the European automakers which make up a quarter of the company's sales.

Hyundai Mobis will display over 20 of the newest technologies in electrification and automotive components at the upcoming IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, to lure the European automakers which make up a quarter of the company's sales.

The Korean auto parts maker said Thursday it is set to reinforce its electrification roadmap at the event, which begins on Sept. 5, with its latest focus on EVs.

Kia's EV9 will be on display, which is equipped with Hyundai Mobis' battery system and power electric system, the two essential automotive components for electrification.

Mobis will also unveil the next-generation e-CCPM, or electric complete chassis platform module, which integrates core electrification innovations into a versatile aluminum frame, enabling the creation of diverse purpose-built vehicles without necessitating distinct platform developments while offering an all-encompassing solution for electrification.

Business meetings are already planned with its major European clients including Volkswagen, Daimler and BMW, where they will discuss further collaborations on technologies.

Hyundai Mobis’ target for overseas auto component sales is $5.36 billion this year, with Europe contributing $1.29 billion, accounting for approximately 25 percent.

Hyundai Mobis also plans to open up a booth at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show in the United States, followed by the Tokyo Mobility Show in October.
