Haechan of boy band NCT donated 50 million won ($37,300) to help victims of the recent devastating wildfires in Hawaii, the Korean Red Cross said Tuesday.
“I send my condolences to the residents of Hawaii, and I sincerely hope that the damage is fixed as soon as possible, and people can return to their normal lives,” Haechan said.
The singer’s donation will be used by the American Red Cross for emergency relief, including restoring the Maui region and aiding victims.
He previously donated 100 million won to the charity organization Community Chest of Korea following the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria earlier this year.
Haechan is part of three NCT subunits: NCT 127, NCT Dream and NCT U. NCT is set to release its album, “Golden Age,” on Aug. 28. To find out more about Haechan, visit Celeb Confirmed!
