Girl group Weeekly will make a comeback with new music in October.
It will be the group’s first music release in more than 1.5 years after its single “Play Game: Awake” dropped in March 2022.
“Weeekly is currently preparing a comeback aimed for late October,” IST Entertainment, the girl group’s agency told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday.
More information will be released at a future date.
Four out of the group's six members — Soojin, Soeun, Zoa and Jihan — joined cable network Mnet’s girl group survival program “Queendom: Puzzle,” which began airing in April this year. While the Weeekly members did not make it to the final seven contestants, Jihan made it to the final episode, coming in at No. 10.
Weeekly debuted under IST Entertainment in 2020. The group is known for its tracks “Tag Me (@Me)” (2020), “Zig Zag” (2020) and “After School” (2021).
