Actor-singer Bae Suzy became the new face of the beer brand Hanmac.
Hanmac on Monday released its advertisement campaign teaser clip featuring Bae in a mystical atmosphere boasting her beauty for 15 seconds.
"Bae Suzy fits our brand's image, which is soft from start to finish," Hanmac said in a press release.
Its new campaign with Bae is titled "Foamtastic," emphasizing the soft foaminess of the beer. The main advertisement starring Bae is set for release on Aug. 21.
Hanmac went through a product upgrade in March for better smoothness and taste using a four-step microfiltration process.
Hanmac is a rice-based lager beer launched in 2021 by one of Korea's top breweries Oriental Brewery.
Hanmac came in first place in Korea Wine and Spirits Awards' lager beer category in April. It also came in third place at the Korea International Beer Award. It competed with 322 other beers from 14 countries. It has also won awards overseas, including the Belgian Food and Beverage Trade Show in 2021 and 2022 and Belgium's Superior Taste Awards.
Bae debuted as a member of girl group miss A in 2010 and kicked off her acting career with the 2011 drama "Dream High." She is best known for her leading role in the 2012 film, "Architecture 101." Bae last month received the Best Actress award at the 2023 Blue Dragon Series Awards. She is set to appear as a lead in the upcoming Netflix rom-com series "Doona!" in October.
