An exhibition on Singaporean fashion made in collaboration with the Korea Foundation (KF) and Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum kicked off Thursday and will continue until Oct. 29, KF said Friday.

It is being held at the Asean Culture House in Haeundae District, Busan.

Titled “Runway Singapore #SGFashionNow,” the exhibition includes pieces by 27 designer brands including The Salvages and Harry Halim.

Both are known to have designed for K-pop acts. The Salvages designed outfits for girl group Blackpink and singer G-Dragon, and Halim for 2NE1’s CL.

This is the third stop for this show, following two in Singapore in 2021 and 2022.

In November, the exhibition is set to be held at the KF Gallery in Jung District, central Seoul.

“Runway Singapore #SGFashionNow” aims to present “what Singaporean fashion is” with the works of renowned designers like Andrew Gn, Ashley Isham and Laichan, as well as looking at its future with themes of sustainable fashion.

“Some of the Singaporean fashion designers whose works are on view have designed stage costumes for K-pop stars, proving that Singaporean fashion has already established a close bond with Korean pop culture,” Lee Jong-kook, Executive-Vice President at KF, said in a press release.

“We hope that with this exhibition, it allows visitors to look into the cultural relationship between Korea and Singapore.”

The Asean Culture House is open every day except Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours extend to 7 p.m. on the weekends. The exhibition is free.
