Santa Olalla lagoon dries for second consecutive year

For the first time in recorded history, the lagoon has dried completely for two consecutive years. According to scientists of Donana Biological Station, the desiccation of the lagoon in summer is 'one of the major evidence of the deterioration of the lagoon system that indicates a lack of refuge for aquatic flora and fauna in the summer'.
