A woman in her 30s was arrested on Wednesday for threatening to kill 20 Korean men at Seohyeon Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi.
She was among the individuals taken into police custody for death threats and obstruction of justice since the knife attack that injured over a dozen people a week ago.
The woman made her threats in an online post on the same day the attack took place.
In her post on Friday, the woman said she would stab 20 Korean men.
She reportedly told the police made the threats because she wanted to revenge on Korean men after hearing the news women were attacked in the Seohyeon Station attack.
In response, the police stationed armed officers at the subway station.
Among those injured in the attack last week, a woman in her 60s died to her injuries after he struck her with his compact vehicle, which he drove onto the sidewalk in front of the mall before proceeding indoors to attack people with the knife he had with him.
