Girl group ITZY will release its first Japanese full-length album "Ringo" on Oct. 18, the band's agency JYP Entertainment said Wednesday.
"Ringo" will contain 11 tracks, consisting of four new songs, Japanese versions of Korean hits and four Japanese songs that the band has released in the past.
The title track, "Ringo," which means apple in Japanese, will be followed by "Sugar-holic," "Playlist" and "Style." "Ringo" will carry the message of "charting your own path instead of following the footsteps of already-written fairy tales," according to JYP Entertainment.
ITZY, a five-member girl group that debuted in 2019, launched Japanese activities in December 2021. It topped Japan's sales tracker Tower Record's daily sales chart in April 2022 with its single "Voltage" and was named the highest-grossing rookie artist during the first half of 2022 by Oricon last year.
The band recently released its new album "Kill My Doubt" on July 31.
